Onsite batching and placement of limecrete and hempcrete
The Limecrete Company Ltd was founded in 2006 by Myles and Louisa Yallop, who were concerned about the negative impact the activities of their construction company had on the environment. In Myles' words: "We've got to stop burning diesel and throwing concrete in the ground".
Myles went about re-educating himself in the ways of sustainable construction. The more he learned about limecrete the more he wondered why it wasn't more widely used. It appeared that mixing limecrete efficiently was the main stumbling block. The answer? Forced action mixers! Our customised volumetric mixer has been modified with a somewhat obsessive attention to detail. The Big Green Limecrete Machine measures the correct volumes of material and water and mixes them together using forced action. Batching in this way results in consistent quality of material, fast.
