Myles and Louisa Yallop, husband and wife team and directors of the Limecrete Company Ltd ran a successful groundworks firm for five years. Myles has been in the construction industry all his life and is passionate about his trade. SOB Ltd tried to minimise the negative impact its activities had on the environment but in Myles' words "we've got to stop burning diesel and throwing concrete in the ground". Myles went about re-educating himself in the ways of sustainable construction. The more he learnt about limecrete the more he wondered why it wasn't more widely used. It appeared that mixing limecrete efficiently was the main stumbling block - the answer? - forced action mixers! The first Big Green Limecrete Machine was customised and the Limecrete Company Ltd was born.
