The Limecrete Company Ltd was founded in 2006 by Myles and Louisa Yallop, who were concerned about the negative impact the activities of their construction company had on the environment. In Myles' words "we've got to stop burning diesel and throwing concrete in the ground". Myles went about re-educating himself in the ways of sustainable construction. The more he learnt about limecrete the more he wondered why it wasn't more widely used. It appeared that mixing limecrete efficiently was the main stumbling block. The answer? Forced action mixers! The first Big Green Limecrete Machine was customised and the Limecrete Company Ltd was born.
